In New England, an outdoor maternity photo shoot can be tricky as winter approaches. Usually by November most leaves have fallen, but consistent snow hasn't arrived yet which can leave the scenery somewhat brown and dreary. Not to mention... it can get pretty cold when you're only wearing a dress.

Leading up to her shoot, Jacquline and I communicated constantly about the unfortunate weather conditions New England surprised us with. Considering it was the lowest temperature that day since 1874, we discussed everything from moving the location to changing the date. In the end we chose The Old House at Peace Field in Quincy, MA.

I am very proud of her! When you look at the images below you'd never know it was 33 degrees that day. But believe it or not, we all managed to have a great time (and take a warm-up break in the car).
